Scent Profile:
Oud – Originating from Southeast Asia and South Asia, Oud is rare and widely sought after in traditional perfumes. Natural Oud is said to cost more than its weight in gold. We used a blend of essential oils, aroma chemicals and resins to create an interpretation of Oud. King of Oud combines the freshness of Bergamot and scents of Rose and Pink Pepper sitting on a bed of Oud, Patchouli and Vetiver for a fragrance that is both fresh and richly aromatic.
Top Notes: Bergamot, Lemon, Clary Sage, Rose, Aldehydes and Pink Pepper
Middle notes: Angelica, Rosewood, Galbanum
Base notes: Agarwood or Oud, Sandalwood, Vetiver, Patchouli and Amber
Hops Extract is added to provide biological activities such as anti-inflammatory, anti-angiogenic providing relief for inflammation and prevention of spider veins.
Omega-6 Linoleic Acid and Omega-3 Linolenic Acid, the only long chain fatty acid which the body needs but cannot synthesize have long been recognized as essentials for healthy looking skin.
Vegan version of the soap does not contain Donkey Milk, Beef Tallow or Lanolin.

I purchased the Tallow version that contains donkey milk. This product creates a slick, dense, low volume lather and the post-shave feel is out of this world. Other products that I have used also have great post-shave feel, but the effect of this product on my skin lasted much longer. To my senses, the scent is not good. Others have described this fragrance as floral. To some extent that is true, but the flowery fragrance burns my sinuses with distinct notes of rotting vegetation. I left the lid off for 48 hours and it toned down a bit. To be fair, the only oud scent that I really like is Razorock’s Stallion, but even the strong scent of Tuscan Oud is preferable to this fragrance. I hope that the manufacturer adjusts the scent formula a bit. I have a feeling that one component is off. Please understand that everybody’s sense of smell is to some extent unique and that I am just conveying my personal experience. Nevertheless, the product is so good that at some point I will get their Rose Concerto.
Oud is one of my favorite scents. This WK “King of Oud” shaving soap is often hard to find ‘in stock’. Performance and scent is exceptional.
